by: Sarah Wood We have a spending problem? Why yes… yes we do. * We have military spending over double the rest of world combined. * We give billions to big oil as they bring in record profits * We give subsidies to already successful companies like Goldman Sachs, Disney, etc. * We help fund NASCAR. * We allow billions in offshore financing for banks. * We allow for-profit “universities” to take federal money, and then when their degrees don’t convert to an accredited education, or good a job and the loans can’t be paid back… that payment falls on the taxpayers. Not to mention the profit-grabbing they take from veterans and their added benefits. We do have a spending problem. The problem being we spend perhaps an infinite amount on a heavily bloated defense budget filled with contracts, and unnecessary items just to fatten the pockets of the...

CNBC_murder

By JG Vibes via theintelhub.com This week financial news organization CNBC gave some mainstream attention to the largest money laundering and racketeering lawsuit in United States History, in which “Banksters” and their U.S. racketeering partners are being accused of laundering of 43 trillion dollars worth of ill gotten gains. The lawsuit is said to involve officials located in the highest offices of government and the financial sector. Since this information was surprisingly revealed by the mainstream news organization there has been a very suspicious and deadly fallout at the CNBC headquarters. The White House is being asked by attorneys to explain a top-secret presidential policy directive signed last month that may allow for the domestic deployment of the US military for the sake of so-called cybersecurity. Lawyers with the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) have filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the office of US President Barack Obama in hopes if hearing more about an elusiveorder signed in secrecy in mid-October but only made public in an article published this week in the Washington Post. According to persons close to the White House who have seen the order and spoke with the Post, Presidential Policy Directive 20 (PP20) aims to “finalize new rules of engagement that would guide commanders when and how the military can go outside government networks to prevent a cyberattack that could cause significant destruction or casualties.” Attorneys with EPIC are now demanding that...

Mitt-Romney-on-60-Minutes

Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney used a loophole to “rent” the Mormon church’s tax exemption status and defer paying taxes for 15 years, according to a new report. Tax returns obtained by Bloomberg News through a Freedom of Information Act request indicated that Romney set up a charitable remainder unitrust (CRUT) in June 1996 just before Congress cracked down on the loophole in 1997. “In this instance, Romney used the tax-exempt status of a charity — the Mormon Church, according to a 2007 filing — to defer taxes for more than 15 years,” Bloomberg’s Jesse Drucker explained. “At the same time he is benefitting, the trust will probably leave the church with less than what current law requires.” Estates lawyer Jonathan Blattmachr told Bloomberg that Romney’s trust benefits from the Mormon church’s exempt status because charities don’t pay capital gains taxes when they make a profit from the sale...
